HopeWorks provides community youth with comprehensive quarterly cohort-based services aimed at developing professional skills, personal confidence, and community engagement. Our program offers one-on-one mentoring, mental health support through healing circles, skill-building workshops on topics like nonprofit leadership and local politics, and assistance with employment and internship opportunities. We prioritize empathy and patience in supporting youth, fostering meaningful connections through mentorship to empower them on their journey towards personal and professional growth.

Hope Academy (HA), founded in 2004 by members of the East African community in Seattle, Washington, started as an alternative homeschool for underprivileged and marginalized children.

Over the years, HA grew into an equity-focused educational institution, serving the expanding East African immigrant/refugee population in King County. Through the dedication of stakeholders, recipients, partners, employees, and community members, HA experienced continuous growth and gained a profound reputation. 

As a community-based, tuition-subsidized private school, we are passionate about providing our community with high-quality education and are committed to making a positive impact on their lives. We have strived to be a leading force in empowering families and their children to excel academically.

This program is dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing housing instability and eviction threats. Our program offers a comprehensive range of services aimed at assisting participants in maintaining stable housing and preventing homelessness

Through personalized case management, financial assistance, and access to community resources, we work closely with individuals and families to address their specific needs and challenges. Our goal is to empower participants to overcome barriers to housing stability and achieve long-term housing security.

  • Community Service:  organize events and activities that often promote community service and volunteerism. This includes food drives, blood donations, vaccine drives, and environmental clean-up efforts.

  • Celebrations: organize celebrations that showcase our community's diverse traditions and customs. This includes Eid festivals, cultural fairs, The Delridge Farmer's Market, and Suhoor night Market.


  • Social Events: Organize social events that provide opportunities for community members to connect and socialize. This can include potluck dinners, movie nights, and family/game nights.
